SmartPort+® with Vortex and Endexo® Technologies features Vortex Technology, including a round chamber and tangential outlet designed to allow fluid to reach all surfaces of the chamber, helping eliminate dead spaces, resist sludge build-up, and reduce occlusions.
The BioFlo® catheter with Endexo® Technology provides a catheter material more resistant to the in-vitro accumulation of blood components, including platelets and thrombus, compared to non-coated catheters (based on platelet count). Endexo® Technology is a permanent and non-eluting polymer blended into the polyurethane from which the catheter is made and remains present for the life of the catheter.
SmartPort+® is indicated for power injection of contrast media for CT imaging, is CT-rated up to 5 mL/sec at 300 psi, and MRI-conditional up to 3 Tesla.
